The Virginia Coalition for Open Government is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that advocates for transparency and public access to government records, meetings, and proceedings at the state and local levels.  One of the linchpins of a well-functioning democracy is the public’s ability to access information about government operations. Our program will include lunch at Lewis Ginter in the Robins Meeting Room from 12 noon to 1:30 pm. You may also arrive as early as 11:30 am. Note: We plan to present the 2026 Richmond First Award for Public Service Through Investigative Journalism.
