Richmond First’s October 14 program promises to be deeply inspirational as well as informative. Chesterfield County Sheriff Karl Leonard is recognized nationally for founding the HARP (Helping Addicts Recover Progressively) program, after noticing that an estimated 80% of those entering his jails struggle with heroin and opioid addiction. He transformed parts of the jail into therapeutic spaces, changing lives and reducing recidivism. Two HARP graduates will be our guests, providing memorable testimonials.
